Available exclusively through the Work and Play Day by Day digital storefront, this ebook walks readers through the unique experience that is pregnancy following loss.  Focusing on the four advent candles- faith, hope, joy, peace- the book offers reflections to encourage readers to lean into their faith during this often anxiety-ridden time.

Lord, I want to wait with joyful anticipation for your coming birth this Advent season, but I am afraid.  I am afraid because while I am confident in your own birth, I fear for this new life inside of me.  You have granted me this precious gift and with all my heart I want to celebrate him or her.  I want to feel him or her leap in my womb as Saint John the Baptist did.  I want to cradle him or her in my arms as Mary and Joseph did you.  Lord, grant me the gift of hope this Advent.  Hope in your abundant mercy for myself and for my child.   Jesus, I trust in you.  Amen.

Joy may seem too much to hope for during this trying time, but I believe you should settle for nothing less.  I do not promise that any step will be easy, but I do promise that steps taken in faith offer an abundance of spiritual fruits.

Short reflections and prayers follow each candle of the Advent wreath, followed by a section with practical steps and suggestions.  No medical doctor can ever fully ease your worries during pregnancy after loss, but there is a spiritual doctor who wants to do just that.  This books shares my own journey of discovering how.

Please note this is a digital file.  While I hope to have print copies available in the future, I could not guarantee they would be available during Advent this year.  If you purchase a digital copy now and a print copy becomes available, you can email me your purchase information/receipt for both copies and I will refund the digital copy, minus a small fee.
