Create your own Advent Wreath with this pin punching set. Pin punching is a fine motor activity found in Montessori primary classrooms (ages 3-6).
Using a small push pin, students carefully create perforation around a shape by making small holes along the edges. The student then gently tears out their shape. The closer together and more accurate the punching, the easier it is to remove the shape creating a built in control of error and motivation for careful work. Holding the small push pin builds strength in the hands for future fine motor development of the hand. (Great for students struggling with proper pencil grip!)
This file provides color and black and white templates for 4 advent candles (3 purple, 1 pink), 4 flames, and a wreath for gluing the completed candles. You will need to provide a safe surface (cork and carpet both work great!), a small push pin, and a glue stick.
